Women's Housing Company requires most information
in writing. To make applications and requests
easier a number of forms have been developed.
The following are available from the website.
|
|
| Women who are single
and who with to live without children,
partners, family or others are welcome
to apply with Women's Housing Company.
|
| Authority
to release & obtain information |
|
|
| At times Women's
Housing Company works in collaboration
with other services to best support
a tenant. At other times, tenants may
prefer to have relatives or friends
conduct communication with Women's Housing
Company on their behalf. In order for
Women's Housing Company workers to talk
to nominated people, written permission
must have been provided. |
| Centrelink
authority form |
|
|
| Women's Housing
Company is required to update tenants'
rent every six months to illustrate
that they are in need of a government
rental subsidy. Many tenants are Centrelink
recipients. For those tenants it can
be a hassle to have to go to Centrelink
to obtain their latest income statement.
In order to make things easier, tenants
can give authority to Women's Housing
Company to obtain income statements
on their behalf. |
|
|
| Tenants may go
away for periods of time to look after
others, to join family, or go overseas.
In order to demonstrate that tenants
are in need of housing permission is
granted for periods of up to three months
within a twelve months period. Tenants
are required to inform Women's Housing
Company about any upcoming periods of
absence to ensure we have emergency
contacts on file. |
|
|
| Women's Housing
Company aims to accommodate applicants
and tenants with pets, however this
is not always possible. If you wish
to live with a pet you are required
to apply with us first. |
| Extended
stay of visitors |
|
|
| Visitors are permitted
to stay for up to three weeks every
6 months. Whenever you wish to have
visitors stay for any lengthy period
of time, you are required to apply for
such a stay. This does not apply for
overnight or weekend visits. |
|
|
| If you believe
there are strong arguments why you are
no longer able to live in your current
housing you can apply for rehousing. |
|
|
| If you have
a grievance against another tenant of
Women's Housing Company, or a worker,
which you are unable to resolve you
can lodge a formal complaint. |
