Women’s Housing Company is the only community housing provider in the Sydney Metropolitan area with a primary obligation to provide long term, affordable housing to single women who wish to live without children, partners, other family members, or other people.

Housing women in Sydney, we believe that safe, affordable housing for women is essential to achieve independence. We consider the housing needs of single women as our priority and promote these in the wider community.

Women’s Housing Company is a not-for-profit organisation that employs qualified staff and provides professional training for all members of our team to provide best practice services to our applicants and tenants. Staff adhere to a Code of Practice, and organisational policy & procedures are updated regularly to reflect needs and demands.

Our organisation pursues opportunities to engage with tenants on a regular basis through tenant participation and community development activities. Tenant feedback and input is taken seriously and integrated as much as resources permit.

Tenant rights and access to legal help are publicised through internal communication and publications.

Women’s Housing Company is managed by a Board of Directors made up of professional women, with a commitment to social housing and/or tenants of Women’s Housing Company.
